Steve Thorne is a senior private wealth advisor for the Private Wealth division of Blue Trust and serves his clients out of the office in Nashville, Tennessee.

As an experienced wealth advisor to individuals, families, and businesses, Steve uses his objective perspective to help clients make wise financial decisions to experience clarity and confidence and leave a lasting legacy. His goal is to help those he serves focus on the things that matter most to them. Steve and his team integrate financial planning and investment management into financial plans tailored to his clients’ needs.

Before joining Blue Trust, he was a principal and managing director of Family Wealth Management (FWM) for over 27 years, a boutique wealth management firm that delivered a personalized set of comprehensive financial services to individuals, families, and non-profit/charitable organizations. While there, he led overall strategic direction and oversaw investment policy creation and all Family Office activities.

Steve joined Rodgers Capital Group (parent of FWM) in 1986 as CFO and founding partner. He was an active member of RCG’s corporate finance business (Rodgers Capital), which focused on capital formation for growth-stage companies from 1994 to 1997, before stepping into his role at (FWM).

From 1976 to 1986, Steve worked for Price Waterhouse as a CPA, including three years in their Milan, Italy office.

Steve received his BS in Accounting from Tennessee Technological University.

Active in his community, Steve has served as Chairman of the YCAP Board of Directors, a ministry to at-risk boys and girls in inner-city Nashville. He has been treasurer of his church and currently serves as Assistant Scoutmaster of BSA Troop 217. He has served as Troop Committee Chair and Scoutmaster.
