John Cortines is a family office advisor at Blue Trust.  

In this role, John’s primary focus is to build and maintain trusted client relationships, provide comprehensive wealth management advice to ultra-high net worth families, and proactively manage their needs on a day-to-day basis.

After beginning his career as a petroleum engineer with Chevron, he received a radical call from God at Harvard Business School to move into the nonprofit sector. Over the next decade, he held various executive roles at Generous Giving and later at the Maclellan Foundation, where he continues as a strategic advisor.

John is an accomplished author with more than 100,000 copies of his books in print, including God and Money (2016), True Riches (2019), and Wisdom Over Wealth (2025). He also serves on the board of UTG, Inc., a publicly traded life insurance company, and as a faculty member for Kingdom Advisors.

John lives in Tennessee with his wife, Megan, and their six children. Together, they homeschool their children and enjoy homesteading. John enjoys farming, writing, teaching, and spending time with his family.  He holds an MBA, an MS in geophysics, and BS in chemical engineering.
