Ed McCahill is a senior private wealth advisor for the Private Wealth division and a partner of Blue Trust. He serves his clients out of the firm’s office in Seattle, Washington.
As an experienced wealth advisor to individuals, families, and businesses, Ed utilizes his objective perspective, combined with a deep understanding of biblical stewardship principles, to help clients make wise financial decisions, experience clarity and confidence, be generous, and leave a lasting legacy. His goal is to help those he serves focus on the people, causes, and things that matter most to them. Ed and his team integrate cash flow-based financial planning, investment management, and trust services into customized financial plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Before joining Blue Trust in 2010, Ed and his wife, Cindy, were clients of the firm for eight years. He also spent more than 25 years in the technology industry, including 18 years at Microsoft Corporation and eight years at Wang Laboratories, Inc.
Ed graduated cum laude with his BS in finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and received his MBA in marketing from The Robert J. Manning School of Business at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He is a Certified Wealth Strategist® (CWS®) and a member of Kingdom Advisors.
Active in his community, Ed is a member of Canyon Hills Community Church, a forum chair with C3 Leaders, a Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) group leader, and an Impact Players cohort leader. He previously served in various voluntary leadership roles for many years at The Bear Creek School, the National Christian Foundation Northwest, The Signatry, and Habitat for Humanity of East King County. Ed served for 12 years as a Cubmaster and a Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America, Chief Seattle Council, receiving the 2006 District Scoutmaster of the Year award and earning the BSA Wood Badge.
Ed and Cindy have four adult children and seven grandchildren. They live in Woodinville, WA. In his spare time, Ed enjoys hiking, fitness training, and playing pickleball.
