Gail Bickford-Payne is a senior trust advisor serving in the Personal Trust division of Blue Trust.
Gail has over 22 years of experience in trust and estate administration. As a senior trust advisor, she uses her extensive knowledge in trust administration, fiduciary compliance, and relationship management to serve a complex portfolio including revocable and irrevocable trusts, Special Needs Trust, Asset Protection Trust, and IRAs. She combines her expertise with a personal approach, delivering exceptional service to beneficiaries, legal professionals, and stakeholders.
Before joining the company, Gail was a senior trust officer at Southeastern Trust Company for over 11 years, where she led the Atlanta, Georgia, office. In that role, she was responsible for relationship management and trust administration, with a focus on business development and client retention. She specialized in the administration and management of special needs trusts and trust-owned real estate. Before that, she spent five years as a client services manager at CapitalMark Bank & Trust.
Gail earned a BS in environmental science – geology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and is a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute’s Trust School. She is a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) and a member of the National Trust Real Estate Association (NTREA). In recent years, she presented to professional groups and advocate groups for individuals with disabilities on Special Needs Trusts, the importance of the preservation of public benefits, and the advantages of using a corporate trustee. Committed to serving the disability community, she stays current on developments in law and public benefits through continuing education and professional conferences.
Gail and her husband, Jeff, have a daughter and a son and live in Nashville, Tennessee.
