

Ken Cottingham is a senior private wealth advisor for the Private Wealth division and partner of Blue Trust and serves his clients out of the office in Atlanta, Georgia.
As an experienced wealth advisor to individuals, families, and businesses, Ken uses his objective perspective to help clients make wise financial decisions to experience clarity and confidence and leave a lasting legacy. His goal is to help those he serves focus on the things that matter most to them. Ken and his team integrate financial planning, investment management, and trust services into financial plans tailored to his clients’ needs.
Among his professional designations, Ken is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM practitioner. Ken also has experience in business valuation services and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Financial Planning Association.
Prior to joining Blue Trust in 1990, Ken was the controller for a not-for-profit organization where he managed the accounting department and assisted with the management of commercial rental properties. He previously served as secretary/treasurer of FBA Properties, a real estate and property management company. In addition, Ken has previous experience as a property/casualty insurance underwriter for a regional insurance company.
Ken earned his BBA from Liberty Baptist College (now Liberty University) and has done post-graduate work at Georgia State University in accounting.
Ken and his wife, Cheryl, live in Atlanta, Georgia and have two adult children.
