

Robert E. Nobles is the director of portfolio management serving in the Personal Trust division of Blue Trust.
Robert has more than 25 years of investment experience. As the director of portfolio management, he develops and maintains asset allocation models across the firm’s divisions. He leads client relationships with a focus on investment-related aspects, collaborating closely with strategic partners to meet clients’ needs and to expand relationships. He directly manages investments for personal trust company accounts, ensuring compliance with legal and tax requirements.
Before joining the company, Robert was at Synovus Trust for 17 years where he most recently served as the chief investment officer. In that role, he led and oversaw investment strategies for Synovus Trust Institutional and Personal clients’ assets totaling $14 billion. Prior to joining Synovus Trust as vice president and senior portfolio manager, Robert was vice president and portfolio manager for Northern Trust and vice president and portfolio manager for Bank of America. Robert was named a Chairman’s Circle of Excellence sales award winner for 2020 and 2019. He has made television appearances on CNBC’s “Closing Bell” and regularly speaks on financial market topics and the economic outlook for individuals and institutions.
Robert earned a BBA in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame, where he was an all-American track and field athlete. He graduated with his MBA in finance from the Mendoza College of Business School.
Active in the community, Robert is a board member of the Community Foundation of the Chattahoochee Valley and a leader of Christ Community Church’s men’s ministry. Previously, Robert served as the board chair of the Columbus Convention and Trade Center and board member for Keep Columbus Beautiful.
Robert and his wife, Audrey, have two daughters and a son and live in Columbus, Georgia.
